Holy beauty, not conventional beauty...

Oh my gosh! Have you seen that person's face, its flawless
She's amazing, her figure is fantastic
He's just got the best smile a male can have
But is that enough?

Conventional beauty is typically, in the most simplest terms, the idea of being flawless. Having flawless skin, having a fantastic shape or figure, possessing the cutest smile with the best set of teeth. Who doesn't appreciate these things? We all do, but is it enough?

With conventional beauty comes heaps and heaps of compliments. Who doesn't like compliments? Its one of the ways in which we can feel positive and appreciated. Its the one way of knowing that people out there actually acknowledge your beauty. The problem arises, however, when you come across that one person that doesn't see you as the conventional beauty that others have seen you as. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder - conventionally.

On the other hand, with Holy beauty, its a whole different ball game. Holy beauty surpasses all of the superficial things that conventional beauty has to offer. With Holy beauty you're forever beautiful, forever stunning, forever amazing. Holy beauty doesn't apply the pressures of maintianing the outward beauty to be accepted by man, more so about feeding your soul and allowing God's ultimate glory to shine from within and form its beauty on our faces. With a beautiful personality comes a beautiful face but with God comes a beautiful face which surpasses the worlds comprehension. Why? The answer is in the famous scripture, Psalm 139:14 - "For i am fearfully and wonderfully made". If this is the case, with God there is no such thing as 'ugly', it is not a term connoted with the beauty that God has placed in His people. Holy beauty also involves our conduct, how we handle situations and even how we speak to others. Not sure if you've noticed but when someone who has a nice way of speaking to people, shows respect and can be respected, they have something different about them. If Jesus is involved in that person, then its Holy beauty. That beauty that comes from within and manifests itself on each and every person physically. An example of this is a young woman who is conventionally beautiful, she has what it takes. She has that something about her. Something happens bringing about a major disfigurement as a result. Conventionally, maybe shes not that pretty any more. She freely goes around greeting people, smiling, hugging and showing people God's love. Being the nice person she is. She then utters a statement painful to the heart, "I'm usually prettier than this". Little does she know, she's absolutely gorgeous...

Beauty is in the eyes of The Beholder - GOD...
